Fighting the flow…

Well this is just dandy. Literally this is dandelion. A “weed” to most but to a Wise Woman a plant ally very powerful and abundant.

A few weeks ago I called my doctor, yes you know the one who saves me from every ailment I have… I call at the first sign of something gone awry. “I have a UTI again, can you give me drugs?” Literally the words came out of my mouth. So into the office for an hour wait then happily strolled out excited for the text on my phone from the pharmacy to let me know help is on the way! A few pills will solve everything, right? Pills to numb the pain and antibiotics to kill the bacteria that has invaded my body. Just shut it all up and move on right? It’s Christmas time, I’m a stay home mom, a caretaker for my special needs son, family is everywhere, we have events and commitments… right, no time for me.. ever. That’s how I got here in the first place so why not keeping going because it’s worked so well before (sarcasm)… Hear all that inner chatter and judgement? Well I told that part of myself ‘thank you for your time but now I must take over and there is no need to ‘fight or flight’ ….so stop, breathe and relax’.

Time to stop fighting, judging and being harsh.

Well I took some quiet time to myself because I felt like I was going to pop, seriously my vagina was going to pop and I had to stop and talk to her. Yes you read that right… talk to her. Who talks to their vagina? I’ve never met anyone who admitted to it let alone suggested it to others.  Well, I see a healer/lightworker/shaman/medicine woman and she’s the most amazing, beautiful, weirdest, open and in your face honest Wise Woman I’ve ever worked with and that’s what she said. Talk to your vagina and listen to what she says.  And I heard a call to pull out what I call my women’s bible, Susun Weed’s Down There book and get to  reading. Wow. No wonder….. Anger, Resentment, Fear, loss of power -all these feelings that have been bottled up for years are festering and overflowing.

I reach for my own healing modalities journaling, yoga, crystals, Reiki, chakra work, my spiritual support and herbal allies. There are many body systems here that need attention and love so I come up with a plan of care for myself.

One of my allies and star of this post is obviously dandelion leaf, the way she looks, the feeling I get from her and she comes to me in dreams and in meditation. She’s coming along now to nourish me on this journey. This is where I find my own inner goddess again and may she be powerful and grounded. And so it is, NOW!

Aho!

Namaste!

There are many steps, processes and layers of healing. This I know because all healing is a work in progress and we are never done. No one is perfect and everyone is on this earth for a soul purpose and to do their own healing work.
